A circuit in which the frequency element makes the output voltage correspond to the frequency of the input signal. It can be divided into two categories according to its purpose. The first kind is used for demodulation of FM signal. The common ones are slope frequency element, phase frequency element, proportional frequency element, etc. the main requirements for this kind of circuit are small nonlinear distortion and low noise threshold.
